Chairman's Message

We would like to express our sincere thanks to the participants and all others concerned for their contribution to the success of G-BOC97 (Global Business Opportunities Convention 1997) attended by 800 business and government leaders from 32 countries and a region overseas, as well as 23,000 representatives in total over the period, of about 3,000 Japanese companies.

In the process of reaching, in 1997, the 12th staging of G-BOC, this annual event has developed into a large-scale international convention for conducting business talks and exchange of information, extensively supported by overseas business communities, for its promotion of practical business exchange activities through the incomparably unique services in prearranging individual one-to-one meetings for business talks.

At the G-BOC97 'Individual Business Talks' program, many cases of talks were actively conducted, between overseas and Japanese companies, on up-to-date subjects in line with the needs of the times involving products and services related to environment conservation, health or nursing care for the aged. G-BOC provides mutually beneficial opportunities for participants; for those from overseas to find access to the Japanese markets, and for those others from Japan to come in touch with products displaying originality.

To win through in this era of 'Mega-competition', it is essential to globally seek chances of business, and in that sense, we firmly believe that G-BOC continues to usefully serve you with great opportunities offered to efficiently conduct individual business talks within a short period of time, among many business leaders brought together from around the world.

For the G-BOC98 to be held on the 3 days of 19-20-21 October 1998, in addition to the core program 'Individual Business Talks' and others such as 'Access to the Japanese Market Seminar', a new program called "International Investment Promotion Plaza" will be included to bring together agencies or organizations from many countries for PR of their investment environments, for the prompt attention of many potential investors visiting to look at the Plaza.
