Summary of G-BOC2001
G-BOC2001 had been successfully concluded attended by 341 business and government leaders from31countries and regions, as well as 7,441 representatives of about 2,200 Japanese companies. As in the past conventions, G-BOC2001 has produced fruitful results, highly evaluated by participants from both overseas and Japan, by its incomparable services in arranging individual one-to-one meetings for business talks.
 
 
Major Programs of G-BOC2001
G-BOC consists of a great variety of programs to meet diverse needs of participants, supported by the two main pillars of (1) Individual Business Talks, and (2) Various Seminars:
(1) Individual Business Talks
  To provide opportunities for efficient and fruitful business talks, the G-BOC Secretariat made prior arrangements for talks between overseas participants and potential business partners in Japan after considering individual requests and needs.
The Individual Business Talks covered a wide range of subjects including export/import, business/technical tie-ups, joint ventures, and investment in many fields of industries.
(2)Various Seminars
  [National and Regional Promotion Seminars]
At this program, government and business leaders from around the world (12 countries at G-BOC 2001) offer the latest business information on their respective economic conditions and business environments, making it possible for participants to gain fresh, firsthand information on all these countries, without going abroad.
Every year this program is attended, as speakers, by overseas cabinet ministers and deputy ministers or those in similar capacity, giving great opportunities for expansion of networks among such overseas VIPs and Japanese enterprises.

  Lectures are given on various themes of the latest business information, economic issues or business trends.(The program at G-BOC 2001 had to be cancelled off, because of the sudden inconvenience suffered by the designated speaker.)

  What is G-BOC?
G-BOC is a large-scale international event held in Osaka for business talks and exchange of business information, for the purpose of providing Japanese and overseas enterprises with opportunities to find new business partners, as well as for offering the latest business information from all over the world. G-BOC was initially held in 1983 and subsequently in 1984/85/87, and annually from 1990 onwards making the last convention in 2001, G-BOC2001, the 16th staging of this event.
G-BOC has all the time been planned, organized and conducted, with the highest priority for usefulness for participating companies' practical business purposes. It has been utilized by numerous enterprises as Japan's major international event that is directly linked with business.
